Information for dentists

Sharing of x-rays

We are committed to minimising patient exposure to radiation, and would appreciate you sharing any radiographs you take.

Periodontal assessments will usually involve taking an OPG with localised periapical radiographs in areas of deep pocketing. However, full mouth periapical radiographs may be helpful in patients with a heavily restored dentition or complex treatment planning needs.

For implant treatments, periapical radiographs of the teeth adjacent to the site are helpful to establish the restorative prognosis of teeth and their endodontic status. In most cases, a cone beam CT will be required.  If you have your own cone beam CT, please send the data in DICOM format to allow digital implant planning using SIMPLANT software.
